A minimilist design approach for a luxury candle company.


I was approached to design the new visual identity for Urban Apothecray London – as their previous brand had become incredibly dated and candle sales, at the time, were reduced to low-budget shops in the UK.

At the research stage figures suggested a mix of male and female users were buying the products. The choice was to then create a unisex brand that was modern, clean and something that visually echoes the luxury nature of the actual product.

A bespoke e-commerce experience, utilizing Shopify was created as a space where users can shop, browse and learn about the brand and craft of the products.

The rebrand has since helped the client win contracts with retailers – John Lewis, Selfridges & House of Fraser.
